DrumSlam
DrumSlam is an emulation, but not of hardware. It’s a riff on the sound of Massey’s TapeHead.
Because why not?
Well, the reason why not is mostly this: that’s not my favorite sound, so it’s not such a great idea. I heard a midrange drive, a sort of treble air that comes in, and low frequency stuff in my (free) TapeHead AU that I tried. I did my best to replicate these things, but since I wasn’t going for stuff that excites me, I don’t feel my heart was really in this one.
No biggie. Here it is, in case other people feel differently.
I use this plugin all the time! Any plans to make it 64bit? I currently have to wrap mine.
Try redownloading it? I updated everything to 64 bit and the version info in a Finder Get Info window will show a time of day if it’s the 64 bit/32/PPC plugin. DrumSlam is, so it is already 64 bit :)
Oops!! I have been using the orig download w/o knowing there was an upgrade.
Thanks for making such amazing ground breaking plugins! If you get the time could you made a “PUREST” version of Drumslam! This plugin does wonders! I sandwich it between 2 PurestDrive plugins right now.
A purest version of DrumSlam would be awesome
Can’t be done, DrumSlam is way too complicated. Gotta go with more Airwindowsy plugins to get a Purest version, which I will try to keep on providing. I’ll also say when stuff is LIKE the Purest plugins without quite getting there. DrumSlam is waaaaaay far from that.
Hey Chris, came across your site via facebook share. Your stuff looks really cool. Where are you at in Vermont? I’ve lived up here in Alburgh since August.
Hey Chris,
Love this plugin, used it ALL the time on mac and miss it sorely, is there any plans to port this to Win 64bit?
Hi Chris! Love this plugin. It’s been my go to saturator for snares for quite some time. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work since I updated to High Sierra with Reaper. Any chance you will port this to VST? Don’t know if I’ll survive without it :)
I hear ya, and I’ll sneak it in there somehow :) then it will be 64-bit, VST and Linux all at once…
