Chris

Hi! I've got a new plugin you can have! These plugins come in Mac AU, and Mac, Windows and Linux VST. They are state of the art sound, have no DRM, and have totally minimal generic interface so you focus on your sounds.

FarSpace

FarSpace began the series of reverbs culminating in Space (a long sequence of free upgrades and crossgrades for adopters this early!). It contained NearSpace, a matching reverb hard-coded to have shorter delay times.

During this period FarSpace changed its sound around pretty wildly while not being awesome. I’m going to encourage paying attention to reverbs like Space, PocketVerbs, and even FarSpace3, but this is when FarSpace came out, and I do have it (but not apparently the demo) to support those who got it and might need a replacement copy someday.

If you want this, buy Space and ask for it by email, and I’ll send it.

Density2

Density2 is the antialiased version of Density. It’s a little slicker sounding and less raw, so depending on your tones you might prefer it, or you might prefer the original. Like all the variations on Density and Drive, it’s got the highpass which feeds the distortion section, and the capacity to blend that with dry signal. That’s particularly useful if you’re using the highpass, because it lets you get some of the lows back, and it lets the distortion be applied to mid and high frequencies without getting muddied up with bass.

Again, this is the same thing as Density but with antialiasing to try and make the sound more fluid. You’ll probably end up with a preference for Density2 or the original, so just go with that.

VariMu

VariMuDemo is a universal binary AU plugin that works as a variable-ratio compressor.

It’s simpler than Compressor and more suitable for overall 2-buss compression. (written back when I had a comp named Compressor…) Killer drum room compressor, or for very natural effects—ideal mastering compressor at the time, before I developed Logical to be way better still.

Heck, try it out, it’s here and varimu is a cool sound :)

VariMu is $50.

Drive2

Drive2 is the antialiased version of Drive.

Again, this is the same thing as Drive but with antialiasing to try and make the sound more fluid. You’ll probably end up with a preference for Drive2 or the original, so just go with that.
